Describe your job in a few lines?

I am a PR consultant specialising in fashion and luxury.  It is my responsibility to devise strategic PR campaigns to ensure a constant and relevant media presence and help to drive overall business growth for my clients.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far? 

Taking a gamble and moving from London to New York in my twenties lead me to a dream job with one of the world's most celebrated designers.  The drive, ambition and 'can do' attitude of New Yorkers is refreshing and energising.  It was an incredible education and a truly inspiring experience.

What piece of career advice would you give to your 20yr old self?

Be open minded to all opportunities and build your network - the people you meet over the next decade will be those you work with closely throughout the rest of your career.

Whose style do you admire the most? 

Julianne Moore's style is flawless.

What been your worst office fashion faux pas?

Borrowing a glorious pair of sequinned shoes from the sample closet to wear at an evening event without realising I had taken two left feet.  Standing to meet and greet for 4 hours was very painful and very unstable!

Should office wear be fashionable or functional?

Ultimately, I think you should know what suits you and stick to it.  I have a certain formula which I rarely deviate from - a narrow pant with swing top or masculine shirt and knee length skirts and dresses - all in a combination of navy, tan, cream and khaki.  It may sound boring but I know what works for me and it means I have developed a capsule of interchangeable pieces which I can tweak with the right accessories to make work for most environments.                  

If you had to choose working with all women or all men, what would it be?

All women.  I have certainly witnessed many 'Devil Wears Prada' type moments but I have been fortunate and have always worked alongside very supportive, very smart and inspiring women. 

What’s your fantasy alternative job?

An archeologist.  Archeology is still something I would love to study now.
