5 Apps for busy women
We all want to spend less time glued to our phones, but what if an app could actually save you time and leave you free to be more productive, or relax and enjoy your downtime more?
Here’s our pick of the best of the bunch, whether you want to unwind, save time, or just get that to-do list done (and they’re all completely free!)
- me
The antidote to a daunting inbox, Unroll.me can be downloaded onto your computer, phone or tablet to help get your subscription emails in order. First of all, you’re able to easily unsubscribe from any mailing lists you no longer want to receive. Then, the rest of your email subscriptions will simply be sorted in one daily email delivered at a time of your choosing, called ‘The Rollup’. Phew.
- Todoist
If you’re one of those people who have ten to-do lists cramming up your diary and desk drawer then this is the app for you. Not only can you streamline your to-do lists into one space, organising them by category, but you can also easily schedule recurring tasks, delete items and share projects (handy if you collaborate with freelancers or like to work from home).
- Pocket
We’ve all been there – browsing on the go and coming across that one amazing article, video or tweet that will be perfect to share at an ideas or pitch meeting and then not being able to find it again when we get back to the office. Pocket allows you to save content when you see it so you can come back to it in the future, from any device, for reference, and even view items offline. The best bit? It also gets rid of banner adds so articles are much easier to read.
- Buddhify
If you just want to find two minutes in your day to relax and stay centred, then try Buddhify’s guided meditations. Tracks are designed to fit easily into everyday life with activities to try while on the commute, at work or just browsing online. Try it for a week and get ready to feel more mindful.#
- Around Me
For people who travel regularly on business, this app is an absolute lifeline. It will find your nearest essential amenities from pharmacies and train stations to bars and restaraunts, and map out a route to take you there.
